    - Bleach art design workshops

  • Live Indigenous Performances and Cultural Exchange

    Live performances in opening and closing ceremonies featuring Indigenous drummers, singers, and dancers. Engage with Elders, knowledge keepers, and artists from various Indigenous communities, and gain insights into rich cultural traditions and contemporary artistic expressions.

Saturday, December 7

  • Immerse yourself in a diverse array of artwork, including:

    • Mural panels from previous workshops

    • Acrylic paintings

    • Bleached art creations

    • Custom-painted shoes

    • Skateboards, clothing, and beadwork by local artists

    Seize the opportunity to acquire unique pieces, with proceeds supporting both the artists and Miska Creative Society.

    Live DJ performance throughout the event.

  • This free workshop will offer an introduction to the foundations of watercolour painting. Technique, colour theory and brush types will be explored. Participants will create their own masterpiece using their new watercolour painting knowledge learned throughout this workshop. Spots are limited—first come, first serve.

Participants will create their own masterpiece using their new acrylic painting knowledge learned throughout this workshop. Spots are limited—first come, first serve.

  • Free community meal from 4-8pm.

  • Opening Ceremonies & Elder Blessing, including live performances featuring Indigenous drummers, singers, and dancers.

  • Spray painting demos will be held out back of venue, and will be weather permitting.

  • This workshop will offer an introduction to the foundations of watercolour painting. Technique, colour theory and brush types will be explored.   • Free community meal from 2-6pm.

  • In spray paint basics, we share a mural artist’s primary tool: the aerosol spray can. Learn how to use the spray can to its fullness, and nozzles to gain greater control of your spray. In this workshop, you will receive an introduction to aerosol painting, preparation, stencils and masking. Spots are limited—first come, first serve.
